==2014 - just before you start im gonna have to say that i LOVE kai now, and i'm very happy with how sm has been marketing him and exo (overall). but i still look back and just think ugh whyy sm whyyy. like before exo even debuted their whole thing was geared toward kai, kai is in more teasers than everyone. yeah, kai is super talented and gorgeous. but i honestly still don't get why, it's not like he really enjoys attention or anything, like why sm why? those first few months with exo were so frustrating as a non-kai-biased person. everyone who was into kai was happy with performances and everyone who wasn't was just like "where was sehun/etc?" it's pretty insulting when kyungsoo/baek bore so much of the vocal stress at that time meanwhile sm stylists/managers kept showcasing kai in live performances. 

his dancing and facial expressions (and the choreo) are enough to make sure that kai doesn't fall back into the background (like xiumin, lay, sehun and chanyeol...all of whom should have been wearing "the jacket") if you think i'm overreacting just look back to the perfs mama-history era. honestly it made me so mad at the time because i was chanyeol (and kyungsoo) biased and i just kept thinking omg this is plain unfair. the rating's so harsh because i was pissed off because i loved this era for costume, all the beautiful jackets and shinee things T_T i miss this

no but srsly i understand sm's "kai thing" because at the time of debut kai was probably still the most comfortable on stage, the one they could always rely on for a brilliant performance. but it doesn't deny the fact that they shamefully glorified one member over the others. me and kai are cool now tho *fistbump*

…Why would you even let Kai wear that.

And then put him at the front?

Seriously, it does not make EXO look like ‘one’…it makes ONE look like EXO.

Does he deliberately do this? Like, when they’re about to go on stage he runs back and nabs the most eye catching thing…? Troll Kai?

Like, the rest of his outfit is pretty eye catching anyway and would make him stand out but it’s like they’re saying;

HEY GUYS LOOK WE HAVE KAI KAI IS HERE WOW LOOK AT KAI HE’S SO GOOD.

Like as if all the kafuffle about the amount of Kai teasers wasn’t enough they were like ‘oh lol guys, we know u want to see the other members n shit and we know they are like, talented but…here’s Kai look at Kai.’ 

I don’t have a problem with Kai.

I do have a problem with not being able to focus on the other members because everyone is wearing washed out shades and there’s only one person wearing a block colour.
