[K-POP COSTUME REVIEW] FIX-She’s My Girl (픽스-내 여자라고)

So i used to do this series on my tumblr where i reviewed kpop costume comebacks. i really want to get back into it, just waiting for a good comeback now (EXOOOOOO). i was a bit disappointed with a few of the last kpop comebacks but i'll get back into this series i promise. it's useful to me because it helps me understand kpop fashion and costume (which is one of the things i want to get into, eventually) and it's fun. anyway. i haven't seen any other FIX mv's, and i think this was their debut (?).
(really terrible screencaps sorry)

So I was talking about how the style of MV is a mixture of MBLAQ’s Y (Joon bits) and It’s War with BEAST’s Fiction thrown in. It has a plot line, but there’s dancing too. I don’t fully understand the story but nvm.
The first time we see a member is here, in another underground car park/ horror movie set, kpop idk…And the first and only thing I paid any attention to the first time I watched this was the guy on the right. I was like ‘is he a band member, is he staff? Couldn’t they find someone prettier?! If this is where Idol bands are going I’m not sure I want to follow!not because i’m shallow or anything and there are pretty people so don’t worry
The next few times I watched this I focused more on the band member who was singing, but for an introduction to each member I would have liked a single shot of just him or something, maybe it’s just me being weird but that guy really distracts me. Why is he so angry? >.<

5/5 for costume!

and you can’t even say I’m biased or blinded by the beauty cos I don’t even know any of them, so there! :P

These darker scenes are mixed with story shots, many that are in the big, wide outdoors. See the Fiction influence? The female character dresses in white and pale grey (Korean women apparently don’t ever wear colours) which fits into the whole washed out colour scheme of the MV.
Where even is she?

Now I’m going to spazz talk about my favourite costume moments. Ugh, I just love this jacket/ tee combo (below). It’s like this band is paying attention to trends in K-POP (studded jackets, signature tees, punk elements, skinny jeans) and fitted it into their colour scheme. This could have turned out very U-KISS with all the white but they’ve balanced the outfits with black and darker skinny jeans so the looks are more casual and less like a K-POP band uniform.

Oh, gosh, look at this next one… T.T It’s really beautiful guys. he looks like hongki in this shot am i right?  This is my favourite jacket, it looks great on this guy because of his hair colour but it manages not to look too out of place amongst the pure white of some of the other outfits. On closer inspection it’s like a mottled print or perhaps even bleached blue denim, which lifts out some of that blue pigment, making it softer on the eyes. It’s a subtle jacket but it’s beautiful. I need to touch it.

And another exceptional jacket, worn with tee with tassels (TASSELS GUYS TASSELS!) It’s so pretty and fashionable and pretty… *.*

Honestly, judging my LOVE of jackets of all and any kind I was very very pleased with all the lovely jackets they’ve thrown in here. There’s some other nice costume choices (underplayed, not too blatant) like the white jumper he wears in the LUBBY DUBBY DUBBY(oh oh oh oh) scenes with the woman, and the casual cardi he wears below…when he’s…

Stay classy, even when shooting girlfriend.
